How to Prepare for a Professional Pressure Washing Appointment
By the Peak Clean team · October 13, 2026
A little preparation makes a pressure washing appointment faster and safer, and helps protect your property. Here's a simple checklist, plus what to expect when the crew arrives.
Your pre-appointment checklist
- Water and power: make sure the crew can reach a working outdoor spigot, and an outlet if needed
- Vehicles: move cars out of the driveway and away from the work area
- Outdoor items: move furniture, toys, planters, and decor off patios, decks, and walkways
- Windows and doors: close and latch them
- Pets and kids: keep them inside during the service
- Gates and access: unlock gates and share any codes
Tell us about problem areas
Point out anything we should know about: loose paint, cracked concrete, failing caulk, leaky windows, or fragile plants. Cleaning can reveal hidden damage, so knowing about it ahead of time protects everyone.
Plants, sprinklers, and landscaping
Let the crew know about delicate plants or irrigation, and turn off automatic sprinklers if they might run during the job. We pre-wet and protect plants, but a heads-up helps.
What to expect on the day
- The crew arrives, walks the property, and confirms what's included
- They choose the right method for each surface, whether soft washing or higher-pressure cleaning
- They protect nearby surfaces and rinse thoroughly
- You do a final walkthrough with us to confirm everything looks right
Weather
Rain, lightning, and high wind can affect safety and results. If conditions look unsafe, we'll contact you to reschedule. Our full terms explain this and what each service covers: read our terms.
